1) Why does my car shut off after running about 100 feet?

The car may be running on a lean fuel mixture.  To fix it you may try to richen up the high needle valve a 1/2 a turn to the left.

 

 

 

 

 

2) Why does my car shut off when I hit the brakes?

The barrel stop screw (The little screw with the spring) needs to be turned a 1/2 a turn to the right and try running the car again and hitting your brakes.

 

 

 

 

 

3) Why do I have no control of my car after 10 feet?

Option 1: Try Replacing all the batteries.

Option 2: Clean the battery tray in the car.

Option 3: Check the battery wire to the receiver.

Option 4: Check the crystals, make sure they're on tight.

 

 

 

 

 

4) Why does my car shut down after 5 min?

Two main reasons why your car would shut down like that would be that, 1) You have an overheated engine that is running too lean and 2) That you may not be using the right fuel.

The approximate temperature that a engine should be running at is around 230º.

The best way to prevent something like this would be to place a fail safe in the car.

 

 

 

 

 

 

7) Why can't I start my car?

Option 1: Bad glow driver - place a new glow plug on the glow driver to see if the glow driver is lighting.

Option 2: check the glow plug to see if you ran too lean - replace the glow plug.

Option 3: Check the head to see if it is loaded with fuel - take glow plugs out and pull the pull cord or hit the electric starter 3 or 4 times to get the fuel out of the head.

 

 

 

 

 

 

8) Why does my car sound like it's going about 70 mph but it really isn't?

The 2 main reasons why your car would sound like this would be that you may have stripped the gears from debris or your motor may have moved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

9) Why does my pull start keep snagging / breaking?

Option 1: You may have flooded the engine.

Option 2: You may have a bad glow plug.

Option 3: You may have a bad glow driver.

Option 3: Your engine may be bad.

Check the steering trim on the transmitter.

Option 1: You may have bad tires.

Option 2: Your shocks may be too tight.

Option 3: You may have a bad rear end.

Option 4: You header pipe may be hitting against the tire.

12) What is the difference between an AM and a FM remote?

The best way to understand this is: like turning on a radio on AM there is a lot of static and it is not that clear; on FM it is much clearer and do to that you have a much longer range of distance with the RC product.
